Synchronous Service Transport (SST)

Course Description

This self-directed, web-based course provides you with knowledge of the Qwest Synchronous Service Transport (SST) product. You will learn how SST works and the options available.

SST is a very high speed Private Line Transport service that can combine other small lines such as DS1 and DS3 into one service.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this training course, you will be able to:

  • Describe Synchronous Service Transport (SST)
  • Describe SST features and functions
  • Explain how SST uses SONET technology
  • Identify basic SST characteristics

Prerequisites

Audience

The target audience for the training is primarily CLECs and External Customers, but the training is available to anyone that would like an overview of the subject. We believe this training will assist you in gaining a better understanding of the product and processes, and will allow you to be more effective in working with the Qwest Sales and Service Team.
