Local Number Portability (LNP) Product
Course Description
This self-directed, web-based course provide you with an overview
of the Local Number Portability (LNP) product.
For information about creating and submitting a service request,
please review the process and system, instructor-led Local
Number Portability (LNP) training.
Course Objectives
Upon completion of this training course, you will be able to:
- Describe Local Number Portability (LNP)
- Explain how FCC requirements for providing number portability
on an interim basis and as a long-term solution impacts communications
providers
- Define the services provided by the Number Portability Administration
Center (NPAC)
- Explain the choices available among LNP options (e.g. Call
Routing and Query Services)
- Describe the use of the Bona Fide Request process
Prerequisites
Audience
The target audience for the training is primarily for CLECs and External Customers,
but the training is available to anyone who would like an overview
of the subject. We believe this training will assist you in gaining
a better understanding of the product and processes, and will
allow you to be more effective in working with the Qwest Sales
and Service Team.

This course takes approximately 2-4 hours to complete.
