Course Description

This instructor-led course provides an overview of the Local Number Portability (LNP) product, as well as the processes for submitting the service request via Interconnect Mediated Access (IMA). The processes covered are PreOrder, Order, Post Order, and Provisioning.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this training course, you will be able to:

• Describe the LNP product and services
• Identify the unique IMA processes
• Identify the forms required to submit your request
• Identify the required fields on each form

Prerequisites

• Basic Telephony course and/or equivalent industry experience
• Working knowledge of Qwest IMA ordering system
• IMA GUI
• Local Qwest 101 "Doing Business with Qwest"
• Local Number Portability Product

Audience

The target audience for the training is primarily CLECs and External Customers, but the training is available to anyone who would like an overview of the subject. We believe this training will assist you in gaining a better understanding of the product and processes, and will allow you to be more effective in working with the Qwest Sales and Service Team.
