IMA Hands On Resale and UNE-P POTS

Course Description

This introductory, instructor-led course explains how to use Qwest's IMA Graphical User Interface (GUI) for ordering Qwest Wholesale products. You will experience interactive software demonstrations and participate in hands-on practice sessions to familiarize yourself with the IMA GUI system.

NOTE: This course is specifically designed for Resellers, and those CLECs that specifically order UNE-P POTS.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:

  • At an overview level of knowledge, identify the elements of the IMA system
  • Identify the various methods of accessing IMA
  • Practice the administrative functions utilized by the CLEC or Reseller while using the IMA system
  • System Administration
  • Corporate User Profiles
  • Billing Account Numbers (BANs)
  • Personal Profiles
  • Passwords
  • Practice IMA PreOrder functionality as a means of gaining knowledge of the software functionality
    • Address Validation
    • Reviewing CSRs

    • Reserving Telephone Numbers

    • Raw Loop Data
  • Practice submitting Resale Based service requests
    • Completing the LSR Order Information screen in IMA
    • Accessing blank LSR forms to complete the required fields
    • Saving and Restoring
    • Copying and Existing LSR to Create a New LSR
  • Identify the key elements of IMA Order functionality
    • Completing Order Information for a New Unbundled Loop with Number Portability request
    • Completing Order Information for a New Connect ADSL order
    • Using the Stand Alone Listings form
  • Identify the key elements of IMA Post Order Activities
    • Using the Status Updates function
    • Using the LSR Notice Inquiry
    • Using PSON LSR Notice Inquiry
    • Using the LSR Status

Prerequisites

Audience

The target audience for the training is:

  • Resellers that submit Local Service Requests (LSRs) via the IMA GUI
  • CLECs ordering UNE-P POTS, that submit Local Service requests (LSRs) via the IMA GUI

We believe this training will assist you in gaining a better understanding of the product and processes, and will allow you to be more effective in working with the Qwest Sales and Service Team.
