Training
Qwest offers educational training courses to help you execute your business plan and to assist you in learning how to do business with Qwest. Job aids, reference materials, and student guides are provided with courses as appropriate. The courses provide instruction in three specific categories:
- Products
- Processes
- Systems
To accommodate your schedule, our classes are offered in several different ways:
- Instructor-led Training
- Private Training
- Train-the-Trainer
- Web Based Training
- Web Based On-Line Support
A list and description of classes can be found by clicking on course catalog. The schedule information is subject to change as new classes are added and existing classes are updated. For that reason, check for the most current schedule when you are ready to enroll. Once you have completed a course, we welcome feedback.
If a course is not offered during the current quarter, you can request this class via waitlist. From the course catalog page, the "Status" field for the class that is not offered will contain a link "Click here to submit waitlist request". You may complete this form, request city location and submit it to Qwest. Qwest will contact you via email to confirm the receipt and processing of your request. If the course is offered during the next quarter, you will be informed of quarterly class postings via CLEC notification. You can then check the course schedule to view current course offerings.
In addition, Qwest offers private training classes. Qwest's private class policy is that there be a minimum of 8 students and the customer pays the trainer's airfare and hotel. Qwest will attempt to accommodate private class requests based on customer requirements and adherence to Qwest's private class policy, as well as trainer availability. If you would like to request a private class, please contact your Service Manager.
You are welcome to attend any of Qwest's public class offerings as a 'train-the-trainer' participant. When you register, send an additional email to cptrain@qwest.com and advise that you will be attending as a trainer. Upon request, Qwest will provide one master copy of the Instructor and Student Guides after you have completed the class. It will be your responsibility to keep your company informed of any updates due to releases, etc. You can contact cptrain@qwest.com periodically to see if materials have been updated.
You can also find training information for a specific Qwest Wholesale Product in the Qwest Wholesale Product Catalog (PCAT). The PCAT is a Qwest document that provides information regarding Qwest products and services. The PCAT contains a page for each Wholesale product. Along with other significant information, each product page addresses training. Direct web links to training can be found in the Training Section of the PCAT product page.
If you have any questions regarding registrations, training schedules or private class offerings, please email cptrain@qwest.com.
