I-Called® - V4.0®
History Log
Product
Description
I-Called® is a Pay Per Use service that allows callers,
who encounter a ring no answer condition, to record their
name and telephone number for future delivery to the called
party.
Blocking is available, at no charge, for I-Called.
After 30 seconds of a no answer condition (approximately
six rings), the calling party will hear an announcement explaining
to them that for a charge, they can leave a message with their
name and telephone number for future delivery to the called
party.
- If the called party has an answering machine or Voice
Messaging Service, the machine or Voice Messaging Service
must intercept the call within 30 seconds, or I-Called will
be offered to the calling party.
- If I-Called is offered to the calling party, and the called
party's, answering machine or Voice Messaging Service "picks
up" during the announcement, I-Called will be halted and
the connection completed between the calling and called
party (or answering machine/Voice Messaging Service).
- If you are dialing into a modem and the connection is
not made within 30 seconds, the I-Called service could be
offered. This will not halt the connection from being made.
The I-Called message plays over the rings and is only offered
once. If the caller doesn't activate the service, the connection
will continue to be processed.
- Once the calling party accepts the I-Called offer by pressing
"2", the connection to the called party is terminated and
the process of recording name and number begins. If the
calling party chooses to use I-Called, they have 15 seconds
to record their name and telephone number for future delivery.
If the calling party chooses to use I-Called, they have 15
seconds to record their name and telephone number for future
delivery.
If they exceed 15 seconds, they will be prompted to record
a shorter message.
When the called party answers the I-Called call, they will
hear a message introducing the I-Called service.
- Pressing the # key will skip the introduction and go directly
to the I-Called message.
- I-Called service includes the day and time the message
was recorded.
- The called party can listen to the message two times.
- Message delivery is attempted every 1/2 hour for 12 hours
and then three times a day for the next three days, or until
the called party picks up the message.
- Message delivery is attempted from 9 AM to 9 PM, seven
days a week, 365 days a year.
I-Called Blocking is available for the Calling Party (Originating
Blocking) and the Called Party (Terminating Blocking).
- Originating Blocking prevents I-Called from being offered
as an option from the called from number. Originating Blocking
is a per line block.
- Terminating Blocking prevents I-Called messages from being
delivered to the called to number.
- Terminating Blocking is a per number block.
- Terminating Blocking can be added to any Qwest prefix.
If the Called Party has custom ringing numbers and wants
to block I-Called delivery on Custom Ringing Service, the
custom ring numbers must also have Terminating Blocking.
