Direct Inward Dialing
Direct Inward Dialing is a trunking arrangement that allows an incoming call from the switched network to reach a specific PBX station directly, without an attendant's assistance.
A customer with a PBX does not need a dedicated line for every employee. Employees can have a unique telephone number and use a pooled trunk group for incoming and outgoing calls. It saves time and reduces cost.
