Overview

If you have Qwest.net™ service, then you’ve chosen Qwest® to serve as your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

  * If you have Qwest Choice™ Internet Basic or Qwest® Broadband with Office Basic, your service includes Internet access only. These features are not included.

Installation

You should already have used the blue QuickConnect™ CD to install your Qwest.net™ High-Speed Internet service. You may install it on an additional computer. Learn more.

User Name and Passwords

Change User Name

Your Qwest.net™ user name authenticates you on the Qwest.net server, when you log in and when you access your e-mail messages. You may modify your primary and secondary user name. Learn more.

Guidelines

Create your password using a combination of upper and lower case characters, numbers and/or punctuation (e.g., !@%^&*.–_=+). Learn more.

Rules

Passwords must be six to eight characters long, can’t contain your user name, and can’t have the same character (or series of characters) repeated three or more times. Learn more.

Change Password

Use your existing user name and password to log in to the Qwest.net Account Manager, and follow the instructions.

Qwest.net software is compatible with:

Browsers

Qwest.net supports use of both Netscape® (Versions 4, 6 and 7) and Microsoft® Internet Explorer (Versions 4, 5 and 6) as your Web browser.

• If you installed Qwest.net from a CD marked Version 5.0 or higher (the version number is on the CD), you also had the option to install either Netscape Navigator® or Internet Explorer® at that time.
• If you installed from an earlier version of the Qwest.net CD (earlier than Version 5.0), the Qwest.net customized version of Netscape® Communicator was installed automatically.
