Our goal is to provide employees with resources to maintain a balanced work and personal experience, including wellness and financial health.

We have two employee classifications:

  • Occupational – Front line employees including those covered under a collective bargaining agreement
  • Management – Non-union employees

Specific benefit eligibility based upon employee classification and specific plan requirements.

Health and Wellness Benefits

Medical and Prescription Drug – Qwest offers medical and prescription drug coverage that can help employees stay well through preventive care benefits such as annual physicals – and get treatment when ill or injured. Several medical plan options may be available depending on location.

Dental– Dental coverage both in- or out-of-network.

Vision Coverage– Qwest offers vision coverage to help keep costs down for eye exams and prescription eyewear.

Dependent Coverage– Eligible dependents can receive medical, dental, vision and life insurance coverage.

Time Off With Pay – We recognize the importance of time off to renew. Employees receive time off for vacation and personal commitments based on length of service.

Paid Holidays – Paid time off to enjoy national holidays.


RETIREMENT AND SAVINGS

Qwest Savings and Investment (QSIP) 401(k) Plan – Qwest matches a portion of employee contributions.

Pension Plan – Qwest provides the plan at no cost to eligible employees. Participation is automatic after one year of employment.

College Savings Plans – Make pre-tax contributions for students’ college education.


CAREER

Educational Assistance – Tuition assistance plans are available to employees to help earn a degree or certification.

eLearning – Over 3,500 courses are available for free and online to further employees’ educational and career goals.


WORK AND LIFE

Adoption Assistance – Qwest provides financial assistance with specific expenses related to the legal adoption of a minor child.

Corporate Discount Program – Numerous vendors offer significant discounts to Qwest employees.

Disability Coverage – Qwest offers short-term and long-term disability coverage to help replace a portion of income if an employee becomes disabled and meets the eligibility requirements.

Employee Assistance and Work/Life Services Program – practical resources to help employees and their household members with a variety of issues.

Life Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance – Qwest provides Basic Life Insurance coverage bundled with AD&D coverage. We also offer enrollment in Supplemental Life Insurance and AD&D, Spouse Life Insurance and Child Life Insurance.

Reimbursement Accounts – Pay for healthcare, dependent care and transportation expenses with pretax dollars.
